Dr. Campbell is the Jacob Gould Schurman Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University. Cyrus Khambatta, PhD

Cyrus Khambatta, PhD is a New York Times bestselling co-author of Mastering Diabetes: The Revolutionary Method to Reverse Insulin Resistance Permanently in Type 1, Type 1.5, Type 2, Prediabetes, and Gestational Diabetes.

He is the co-founder of Mastering Diabetes and Amla Green, and is an internationally recognized nutrition and fitness coach who has been living with type 1 diabetes since 2002. He co-created the Mastering Diabetes Method to reverse insulin resistance in all forms of diabetes, and has helped more than 10,000 people improve their metabolic health using low-fat, plant-based, whole-food nutrition, intermittent fasting, and exercise.

Cyrus earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 2003, then earned a PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley in 2012. He is the co-author of many peer-reviewed scientific publications.

David Lowe, MD

Dr. Lowe was born in Walla Walla, Washington and grew up in the Southern California area.  He graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine and continued into internship at the Harbor-UCLA Hospital in Torrance, California. He completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and then entered the Air Force for 2 years.  During this time he passed his board certification examination in pediatrics and became a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Upon completing his military service as a Major he returned to Southern California to start the Pleasant Valley Pediatric Medical Group practice in Camarillo.  After 31 years in general pediatrics, he started Adcare Plus, a solo medical practice devoted to teens and young adults ages 12-30.  At the same time he also began working at the Ventura Youth Correctional Facility in Camarillo. Adcare Plus closed in September 2017.  He has been awarded the Apple of Excellence Award by the Camarillo Healthcare District and the Paul Harris fellowship award by Rotary International. 

As health ministry director for the Camarillo Seventh-day Adventist church, Dr. Lowe has been actively involved in developing health programs for the community. These have ranged from health fairs, the Heartbeat program to determine coronary artery disease risk assessment, smoking cessation classes, the Full Plate Living program for weight loss, film showings, Vegan Gourmet Club, the Complete Health Improvement Program, Diabetes Undone and Longevity Lifestyle Matters programs and the annual WHOLE Conference. He is also a member of Besties which is a team of 5 friends helping individuals successfully transition to a whole foods plant-based diet. In November of 2017, Dr. Lowe successfully passed the inaugural board certification examination administered by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. 

Dr. Lowe’s non-medical enjoyments are teaching a Bible study Sabbath School class, playing tuba in the band at Newbury Park Adventist Academy, singing in the men’s chorus, wakesurfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, playing golf and pickleball. He has been married to Flo Teo for 51 years, has 2 sons who are physicians and 1 daughter, who works in the development department at Casa Pacifica, and has 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.

Ayesha Sherzai, MD, MAS

Dr. Ayesha Sherzai finished two residencies at Loma Linda University; preventive medicine and neurology. She also holds a master’s in advanced sciences from UCSD. Subsequent to completing her residency Dr. Sherzai completed a fellowship in vascular neurology from Columbia University. Dr. Sherzai has also completed a Masters in science from UCSD and at the tail end of a MPH in lifestyle epidemiology from Loma Linda University. Knowing the importance of empowering her patients, and their communities Ayesha completed an extensive culinary training program and now teaches large populations how to make tasty, easy, and healthy food for their brain health. 

She is the co-author of two best selling books: The Alzheimer's Solution and The 30 day Alzheimer's Solution.

Dr. Dean Sherzai is a behavioral neurologist/neuroscientist whose entire life has been dedicated to behavioral change models at the community and population level.
